GILLY + REECE. byron bay wedding photography. coopers shoot field. justin

In a cow field on a hill above Byron Bay.

This field, this hill… I have been drawn here ever since I started photographing weddings over 8 years ago in the area. I sometimes park close by before I start photographing a wedding and sit for half an hour. It has presence. It has power. and the land fills you with it. You take notice of such places. Gillian`s family live nearby and they are friends with the owner. It`s the people you know, right? Early in the days of their time together, Gillian took Reece to this spot and told him this was where she wanted to marry him – and this is where they celebrated. Earth. Grass. Sky. Sea. In a cow field on a hill above Byron.
