“We’re gonna build a life together. You and I, forever and ever.” It was Julia Stone’s fault. She only had to sing a few words before everyone, including me, was reaching for a tissue or two. Then Kim came down the aisle and no one stood a chance. Surrounded by a handful of close friends and family members, Kim and Stu were married in what was easily the most heartfelt ceremony I’ve ever had the honour of capturing. It was easy to get caught up in the romance of the day, what with the stunning setting, warm afternoon sun and white lanterns swaying in the breeze, but I’m confident that the romance would still be felt had they been married in an abandoned parking lot. I started the day as a photographer and left feeling like a friend, wrapped up in the love story of Kim and Stu.
